Healing Massage Course

The purpose of this workshop is to teach participants a holistic technique of massage which is unique to Focus Bodywork Ltd. and performed at the Wellness Spa.  It is designed to be a first step to a series of weekend workshops.  The intention is to teach healing massage to beginners, as a profession or to offer those who already do a form of bodywork a different perspective. The course will include approximately 18 hours of instruction divided into theory and hands-on practical sessions. It will be an intense study of:   the body/mind connection; how and where we store blocked energy throughout the body; how to locate these blocks and move them out using practical techniques with energy work; and how intuition plays a major role as a body-worker. The purpose of massage or bodywork is to rejuvenate and relax the body, which affects all aspects of ourselves, not only the physical.

A certificate will be presented at the end of the course and signed after a practicum of 25 massages have been performed.  There are no prerequisites, however any kind of personal growth work will be an asset.
